Kudos to the groomers at Swain for an excellent skiing surface this morning. All open trails had been superbly groomed and there was nary a patch of ice on any of the trails!! Nice soft surface, easy to get an edge in anywhere, great cruising!! Just wish we could get some natural snow for the groomers to play with and really have something to write about!! Keep up the great work!!

Hi Jen,
Yes, we have a skier & boarder program, Glacier Riders Camp, for youth ages 5-15 available Feb. 20-22. Hours each day for Glacier Riders are 10-3. Another great option for the 5-year-old is our Ski Wee program (available anytime) which is a 3-hour private/semi-private lesson and of course, with necessary breaks including lunch or snack.
Glacier Riders: $249 for non-season pass holders/$159 for season pass holders/$45 rentals for length of program
Ski Wee: $75 includes lift, lesson, and rentals.
That is a quick summary of the longer programs and if you would like to make reservations for Glacier Riders you can call or email Guest Services and they will get you signed up - Glacier Riders fills up fast! (607) 545-6511, guestservices@swain.com
Thank You!

I have three girls (ages 5, 8 & 11). We have been skiing at swain every year on presidents day weekend. What kind of lessons do you have available to them? Any all day or half day programs (especially for the 5 year old)?

Snow is in the forecast for tonight through Friday evening, possibly 4-7 inches, and snowmaking is scheduled to resume Friday evening. We now have 10 trails and 3 lifts open and more terrain will open soon!

Hi Dan, Good questions...we are in the process of getting the webcam up-and-running. It has proven to be one glitch after another, unfortunately. We are accepting pics for the Photo of the Day on our Facebook page, which is simply a featured Swain photo. Thanks for inquiring and think snow!
