Sportsmen’s Festival

September 17-18, 2011

Overview: 3-D Wooded ArcheryCourses, Archery Competition, Hunting Dealers, Speakers & Demonstrations, Muzzleloader Competition, Treestand Shootout, and Kids Activities.  The ski lift will operate for rides to the top and The Shawmut will be serving up delicious food & drink.

Archery Shoots:

> Three 3-D Wooded archery courses from the top of the mountain, with over 80
targets.
> Practice range
> Separate Kids’ Practice Range
> “Treestand Shootout” competition:
The Treestand Shootout qualifier will consist of three targets placed at varying ranges, shot from an elevated platform and is located at the race building, near the vendor area .
Qualifier times are 10am, 2pm, and 4pm on Saturday. The Shootout itself will take place at 8am on Sunday, between the top three competitors in each class. Classes are Pro, Hunter, and Traditional. Gift certificate and cash prizes based on participation will go to the winner of each class.

Muzzleloader Shoots:
> Practice Range
> 10am-2pm on Saturday: The Muzzleloader Competition will consist of 9 targets on a Woods Walk Course, at a variety of distances and difficulty. There will be three classes:  Primitive, In-Line (Open Sights), and In-Line (Scoped). All shots must be offhand, no slings or rests may be used.

Gift Certificate and cash prizes for competitions based on participation will be awarded.

LIVE Big Buck Display! 170 class, mainframe 5×5 antlered buck displayed
by North Country Products.

Mount Scoring! Onsite representatives from the Northeast Big Buck Club will give hunters scores for their trophy mounts.

Live Music! Fritz Henry will be entertaining in The Shawmut from 6pm-9pm.

Seminars & Demonstrations! Something for all ages and interests.
